THE DIVINE, MY TRUE VALENTINE

THE DIVINE, MY TRUE VALENTINE

– An Unforgettable Valentine’s Day Story , 2003

I remember this Valentine’s Day, many years ago. It was a time when we had left our country India and came to the USA.

Everything was new, the people, the American English language, the trees, the homes, the roads, everything was beautiful.

When you come into a new country, you start your life all over again, and so did we.

One American dollar was equal to fifty rupees in Indian money, money was tight and so everything we bought was always calculated in Indian rupees, and everything was so very expensive.

This particular Valentine’s day my husband’s friend had taken us to the Walmart stores to get our grocery, for we did not have a car then. I stood in the store and gazed and gazed at the beauty of the grand, big store, I have never seen anything like it in India. I could neither close my eyes nor my mouth in amazement. I was so happy to stand there and gaze. I was thanking God for truly this was like Heaven on Earth, the beautiful people and beautiful things in each department, Wow!

Then I came upon the place were they had the cut flowers, I have never in my life seen such beautiful display of flowers, roses, carnations, gladioli, gerbera daisies, a great feast to my eyes, I was so happy! I asked my husband to buy me some of those flowers, sweetly he told me “sweetheart, you can take as much of your time you want to, to stay here and gaze the flowers, enjoy them, touch them, and when you are done, let me know and we can go home”, he showed me the price tags on the flowers and they were truly very expensive.

So I stood there admired and talked to the flowers, thanked God for having brought me to that place to be there with those beautiful flowers. I truly understood that at that moment that space and the happiness those flowers gave me were truly mine.

That evening a couple who were our new friends, wanted to come and visit with us, I cooked them a nice East Indian meal. I was so excited that we were having visitors in the new country.

As soon as I saw them get down from the car, I saw them carrying two huge flower bouquets. One was a bunch of red roses and the other lilies of all colors, they came and hugged me and gave me the bouquets and wished me a happy Valentine’s day.

I was moved to tears, my inner being experienced the touch of the Great Divine, my true Valentine, through these sweet friends, who were guided to bring me the desires of my heart!

We each and every one of us are so Greatly loved, it is Great to taste and see the love of the Divine. The best way to do this is to live in Gratitude. Being in a state of Gratitude is the most powerful thing, it can bring to us our desires in lightning speed!

Gratitude is our Gift to the Creator!

Each and every one of you my sweet friends are indeed the most beloved Valentines of the Creator!

Remember that you are so greatly loved more than you can ever imagine. You are a beloved child of the Universe!
Acknowledge this truth deep in your heart. Show this acknowledgement as appreciation and gratitude in your thoughts, words and actions and you get to see the magic and miracles that flow in avalanches of abundance in your life.
Blessings!
